Incentives of up to 10% are available for projects that contribute to local culture, crew development and training, marketing and promotional activities, enrich local culture, and are based on the talent both in front of and behind the camera. These are agreed upon in advance based on specific deliverables and are available for various content types, including non-scripted productions.
To qualify for an incentive, the project should ideally include: • Recruitment of Saudi crew and support for local talent development • Crew training and professional upskilling initiatives • Representation of Saudi culture, history, and landscapes • Marketing and promotional opportunities • Representation of diverse talent in front of and behind the camera

Cash rebate for film or TV projects
Whether you’re producing a film or TV project, our cash rebates and support incentives are designed to reduce production costs, maximise your budget, and provide comprehensive support throughout your shoot.
Film AlUla offers up to 40% cash rebate on qualifying local spend, helping to reduce costs and maximise value.
This rebate can be elevated to 50% when Saudi nationals are employed in key roles within the production, reinforcing our commitment to local workforce development and on-the-ground talent integration.
In addition, productions may be eligible for a further uplift of up to 10% in support incentives. These are awarded to projects that contribute to crew development and training, marketing and promotional activities, and enrich local culture and talent - both in front of and behind the camera.
To qualify, companies must be registered in Saudi Arabia or partnered with a Saudi entity.
All applications are subject to approval based on defined criteria.
