Eight-time Grammy winner Anderson .Paak made his directorial debut with K-Pops!, filming many of the scenes in AlUla. The comedy-drama follows a musician’s journey across the US, Korea and Saudi Arabia, with AlUla’s stunning Maraya Concert Hall, Cloud7 lodges and Banyan Tree Hotel providing key settings.

With support from local production company Yellow Camel, the film benefited from Saudi Arabia’s 40% rebate incentive and a strong female-led crew, highlighting the region’s growing role in international filmmaking.
